Daniel Mikes has joined Cass Commercial Bank as senior relationship manager of its Faith Based East Division.  Announcing the appointment was Brett Dempsey, senior vice president and director of the Faith Based East Division.

Mikes brings to Cass nearly three decades of success in lending to faith based organizations, with total loan placements exceeding $5.5 billion.

Most recently, Mikes built and managed the religious lending division of Bank of the West, based in San Francisco, Calif. Under his guidance the bank originated $4.5 billion in loans to religious organizations coast to coast.

Mikes is a nationally recognized authority on religious institution banking whose credits include the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Bloomberg, CNN, and the San Francisco Chronicle.

Mikes, who earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Business Management from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Okla., also has extensive experience in commercial real estate and construction lending.
