We’re thrilled to announce that in July 2018, the board of directors of Cass Commercial Bank appointed Dwight D. Erdbruegger the new president of the bank. He is the tenth president in the bank’s 112-year history.

Erdbruegger, who joined Cass with more than 30 years of commercial banking experience, spent the last 15 years of his career with Commerce Bank. He most recently served as chairman of the equipment finance subsidiary of Commerce. He was also the chief administrative officer for Commerce Bank East Group.

He succeeds Robert J. Mathias who served as president of Cass Bank from 2008 until this July. Mathias has assumed responsibilities as vice chairman of the board.

Active within the St. Louis community, Erdbruegger has been involved with Habitat for Humanity. He also previously served on the board of directors of FOCUS St. Louis and the Cultural Festivals organization.

Erdbruegger earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Purdue. He has a Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University.
